Earth, Wind, Water, and Electricity

Week 1 -  Earth: Explore local soil types with sieves,  magnifying lenses, and microscopes. Build a landscape and witness the power of water erosion. Also - fossils!

Week 2  - Wind:  Paint monsters with your breath. Design a balloon zeppelin and send it zipping across the room. Levitate stuff on the air table!

Week 3 - Wind 2: Fly! Design and build your own rocket and/or plane. Test and refine your design based on its performance on our pneumatic launch pad.

Week 4 -  Water: Build boats from clay or aluminum foil and see how much weight they can carry. Separate the different color inks out of a single-color marker.

Week 5 - Electricity: Where does it come from?  Harness static electricity to levitate a "spider". Generate electricity by building a wind turbine!

Week 6 - Electricity 2: Build electrical circuits to light a bulb and test the conductivity of different materials. Try to figure out what all the switches and buttons on the switch table do.​​
